In my Project Bag

Hello happy crafty people! =D

Sorry I've been MIA these past weeks. I started to sell some of my Buddies at a local store and while it has been a lot of fun, it has also been a lot of work! =)

I have been working hard on providing for the store because I want my items to always be available to the people who visit! Because of this I feel that I don't have as much time to work on new projects as I used to have, but I'm working really hard on being more organized and optimizing my process so that we can still enjoy both sides! =)

I've been trying out the new safety eyes I've ordered on the keychain kitties.

Hello! =D

I have cat house fever!!! =D

Just yesterday I've started a new cat house in a new shape!

For now it may look like it's another cat shaped cat house but I promise it is not! =)

Can you guess in what shape it will be? I'll give you a clue: He lives in the forest and rides a very special bus! ^^

I've also ordered some safety eyes in new colors and was playing around with them to see how they looked.

I'm making new kitties using the Kitty Got My Key pattern to test the new safety eyes.

I love the blue and green ones, the yellow ones are okay. I also bought some orange ones but I didn't like them that much, maybe they just need the right pattern... =)

Hello my wonderful crafty friends! =D

First of all I'm sorry for not being as present as before but I've been super busy, fortunately =D! This month has been so busy that I'm afraid that one of these days my hubby is going to come home and find me all tangled up in yarn, looking like a yarn mummy!!! Hehehe

This past week I was finally able to finish Lucas the Amigurumi Rag Boy. His pattern is available for free on BuddyRumi's Facebook page. After July the patterns for Alice and Lucas will only be available through purchase on BuddyRumi's stores, so go there and click click click! =D

I was also able to work a little bit more on the Trunk Shaped Cat House! Remember me saying I wanted to give the kitty that lived in this house some neighbours? Well, here they are! =D

Hi crafty critters!!! =D

Oh wow! July is turning out to be a really exciting and busy month! =D

These past weeks I've been working hard on two new orders!!! One is an amigurumification of a friend and the other is an amigurumification of a video game character! Unfortunately, for now, I can't show you these projects until they are finished and delivered because they are going to be gifts and I don't want to take any chances on ruining the surprises. =) But I'll show them as soon as I can! =D

What I can show you is the progress I made on the Amigurumi Rag Boy.

The polo shirt is the only thing that is unfinished, but it's almost done. I think I will add, at least, one more row to the collar and then I still need to put some buttons and make the sleeves. Oh, and one more boot hehe =)

Now I'm going to work some more on the the Periodic Table Blanket pattern! I know you are wating for it!; )

What are you working on?

This past week I've been concentrating on working on the amigurumi rag boy!

His body is all done and I started to work on his outfit.

Currently I'm working on his boot!

The pattern for the Alice the amigurumi rag doll is almost finished, just need to edit some photos and it is done! Keep your eyes opened for these two because they will help us celebrate BuddyRumi's first anniversary next month!!! =D

What beautiful creations are you working on?

Yesterday was a holiday here, so I decided to take a break and spend the day with the family. After lunch a few of us went for a walk with the dogs through the countryside. It was a lovely time and I really needed it! =)

Today I'm back to tell you what I've been working on!

As you can see the Cat Shaped Cat House is almost ready! I just need to finish the tail (ran out of yarn...) and I'm still thinking if I'm going to add eyelids or not. I'm really happy on how he came out!

More developments on the kitty houses front!

I finally finished the structure for the Cat Shaped Kitty House and I'm starting to work on the other kitty pieces. For now it looks like a scared head but has I add more features I hope it begins to look more like a kitty. =)

I added a front lawn made of t-shirt yarn to the Tree Trunk Kitty House. That way if it's a hot day kitty can sleep outside on his super soft lawn. =)

All that's left are some neighbours! =D

Oh and this week I will release the pattern for Raz! Just need to go over the pattern one more time to make sure there are no mistakes. =)

What are you working on?

In my Project Bag

This past week was all about the kitty houses.

I completed the main structure for the Tree Trunk Shaped Kitty House.

The lucky kitty to have this house will also enjoy an extra outdoors space that is not yet done and will also enjoy the company of some neighbours. ;)

The Cat Shaped Kitty House suffered a delay. Its shape wasn't quite the way I wanted so I had to unravel almost everything. A good thing about working with t-shirt yarn is that it grows quickly so I'm almost at the point I was before unraveling.

I also wanted to let you know that the patterns for Raz (the bat) and for Alice (the amigurumi rag doll) are almost ready to publish! Just need to take some more photos for the instructions. =)

Remember the border I wanted to use for the Periodic Table Blanket?

I contacted Miriam Felton, the creator, and asked her if I could use  the border that she designed. Guess what she answered? Yes! She said yes!!! Thank you Miriam! Of course I will credit her as the border designer in the pattern!

As soon as I got her reply I grabbed my hook and started crocheting the border! I'm already on the second round!

What other colors from the Periodic Table Blanket you think I should use in the border?

Thank you!

This week my project bag is busting through the seams! I don't think there is a bag big enough for all of them, hehe! Today's post is more like In My Really Big Project Bags! =D

The Trunk Shaped Cat House is almost ready! Well, the main parts is. =)

This one is going to have lots of surprises that I think you and your kitties will like! =D

Now I'm working on the structure that is going to make the house keep its shape, it has been a fun process!

I can only close the trunk when the structure is completed and inside it.

The Cat Shaped Cat House hasn't change much since I last shown it,  currently I'm working on its cushion and before I complete it I can't close the house.

All the cat houses will have a cushion so that our kitties are comfortable in their home! ^^

I've also been working on finishing the patterns for Raz (the bat) and Alice (the amigurumi rag doll), just need to take some more pictures for the instructions!

Almost everyday I attach on more column of the Periodic Table Blanket, there are still some to go but it won't be long now before it is ready to start working on the boarder! =)

What are you working on?

In my Project Bag

This past week I dedicated most of my time to the Periodic Table Blanket. I finally have all the rectangles joined and now I'm joining the vertical edges.

Periodic Table Blanket 6.jpg

Because I made this blanket for me all the names are in Portuguese, but the pattern will include the names of the elements and groups in several languages. =)

I'm thinking of using this boarder with the colors of the blanket. What do you think?

This week was all about wings and hair =)

Codrin 4.jpg

If you guessed that he was a bat you were right! =)

I'm really pleased with the shape of the wings, it came out just the way I wanted them! I love it when the amis come together so easily, it's like they know how they are supposed to be. =)

Now I'm working on his ears, and it won't be long until you can have a weird-feet buddy of your own!

Rag Doll 3.jpg

After all the studying and experimentations with curly hair I decided to use the heat gun method for the rag doll's hair.

What are you working on? I really want to know! =)

Do you remember our buddy with weird looking feet? He also has wings! =D

I'm also working on the finishing touches for the rag doll, working on her face and hair. I'm counting on finish her this week!
